• Originally from Saigon, Vietnam, Long and his family escaped the communist regime in 1978 on a rickety fishing boat.  Along with the other refugees, they were rescued by the cargo ship the SS Sibonga. The family eventually settled in The UK where Long completed his schooling.

Long went on to a variety of jobs but always had art as his passion. Today he has become a unique, self-taught sculptor with one-of-a-kind designs.

As a metal sculptor, he is drawn to the raw power and malleability of metal as a medium. He transforms reclaimed and recycled everyday metal objects into dynamic, expressive forms giving new life to what was previously discarded as rubbish.

Each piece is a testament to the harmonious relationship between human craftsmanship and the natural beauty of the materials he works with.  Long does not use any welding to create his work and every piece is cut and bolted together by hand to take on a new identity and become a work of art.
