William Pounds is a distinguished topographical and perspective artist whose work combines architectural precision with an accomplished painterly sensibility.

Trained as an architectural historian at Warwick University before studying at Chelsea School of Art, William developed his distinctive approach through collaborations with leading architects, designers and private clients.

Strongly influenced by the tradition of topographical house portraiture, his work has encompassed historic houses, gardens and landscapes, with commissions including Exbury, Dyrham Park and Kew Gardens, alongside private estates in the UK and abroad. His illustrations have also featured in publications including Country Life, House & Garden and Gardens Illustrated.

Working in both watercolour and oil, William brings a rare combination of architectural knowledge, observational detail and artistic refinement to each commission.
