One of the first things I noticed at the start of the 2020 lockdown was the change in the quality of the sky. The absence of planes and pollution made for a pure ultramarine. The good weather allowed a good amount of painting en plein air. Nick (beloved husband, champion gardener amongst many other talents) has created a garden that needed painting as a matter of urgency and in spite of the background horror of Covid 19 I was able to find great joy.
Nature’s colours never clash, and here is a case in point. Nick and I plant up hundreds of pots of plants every spring that provide a riot of colour until the end of Autumn.
